Ok, so I’ve left this ages before updating. That’s just me being lazy or not finding the time, if I’m honest. However, it is the last post before Xmas, which means it’s my annual ‘12 days of Christmas’ countdown, which I did on my Deviant Art last year., and Bebo the year before that. It’s inspired by Russel T Davies, who does in in the Who mag. Still, there’s more to discuss before all that shenannigins, aye!
99.9, Radio Norwich…
It’s not easy working out how to put a jingle down onto text, but if you know the Radio Norwich one, sing it as you
read! The nice nice people over at the newsdesk at Radio Norwich were kind enough to let me over for a week to have a go at being a real radio journalist! I got to do a number of cool things (Interviewing firefighters – see right – speaking to shop owners about the new ciggarette rules, interviewing the public about the closure of Woolies, finding out the number one Xmas toy this year – Lego Police Station, if you’re interested – and interviewing the head of a local prep school, and the manager of Norwich City Football Club).
They’ve been kind enough to ask me back throughout 2009, so I’ll try to keep you posted!
There’s adventure where-ever you look…
As I’m sure you know, I’m a big fan of Doctor Who and it’s various spin-off shows. I’m also a big fan of photo stories told using the action figures, which is why I’m pleased to announce the beginning of a short series of Sarah Jane Adventures stories, exclusively on the Doctor Who Forum. The stories can be found in either the SJA section, or the Toys and Merchendise section.
Right, go on then…
‘On the Twelth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…
Twelve Pages Written I’m a, quite frankly shameful, 12 pages into episode two of Studio 7. Lots has happened, I just don’t know where the story goes next. Hopefully I’ll think of it and probably end up spending Christmas day writing away like a busy little bee before I open any presents!
Eleven Photos Taking That’s the number of photos in one of my Sarah Jane Stories. Shameless Plug? Maybe. But go check them out anyway!
Ten (th) Doctor Leaving It’s not something that happened to me, but Tennant is leaving Doctor Who. Thing is, I decided when he first started that I wanted a coat like his. I’m getting one this Xmas morn, courtasy of my girlfriend and some nice people in China to whom we sent my measurements, and the day it arrives he announces that he’s not really Doctor Who any more. Bah. He will be missed.
Nine Guests a-Greeting We’ve had nine big guests in the shop this year, and they’ve all been lovely to meet. Katy Manning is coming over from Australia in the new year for us, so if I haven’t run away to radio-land then it’ll be great to meet her!
Eight Characters Casting There’s eight characters in the first few Studio 7 episodes who are truly important. Important enough to be in three episodes, or more! Casting has begun, so keep an ear out!
Seven AM train to London Oh, allright. This one was a bit of a stretch, but I had to get my day with Blue Peter in here somewhere. Childhood dream fullfilled, that was!
Six Episodes Planning While I may still be flapping around in episode two, there are six full Studio 7 Episodes planned. I know roughly what happens in each, I just need to get it down on paper…
Five Goooo-oooold Riiiings Love that bit.
Four Days of Christmas We’ve stretched our Christmas, this year. We had the 21st with anniversary presents. Today, the 22nd we have old friends coming over. I’m cooking mexican food and there will be more present exchanges. Tomorrow we’re having Christmas with our housemates, a proper roast and everything. And more gifts, then (after the 24th off) it’s Christmas day itself! Tis the season to be jolly…
Three Bedrooms Lived in I’ve lived in three different bedrooms this year. I moved out on the 28th December last year, spent three months at Kings Street, living with my friend Alex, before moving just two minutes up the road to live with my girlfriend. Then, in November the girl in the bigger room moved out, which led to us shifting all our stuff a few feet. Heck, there’s two of us, we need the bigger room…
Two Years left a-studying As of now, I’m a third of the way through the second year of my Uni degree. That means I’ve only got two years until it’s over. Better enjoy every second!
One Fantastic Girlfriend Yesterday (21st) Stevie and me celebrated our 1 year anniversary. As my mother put it, she deserves a medal!
